This entry is part 1 of 8 in the series Review Your IT Environment

EdTech IT environments can be complicated areas.  They include not only a structure for running the business side of the school, but also an instructor environment and a student environment.  each of these three need special attention as to what tools are used and what access is needed.  Locking and unlocking internet sites, supporting data collection, empowering learning and so much more have to be outlined and framed for each sphere.

A full review from time to time to see where you stand helps in framing future initiative, remedial efforts and the structural integrity of the entire system.

In the next few posts, I will unfold a framework for this kind of thinking.  It will include perspectives needed, processes to define, areas to pay attention to and finally a plan for making progress.

Stay tuned for more on how you can energize your educational efforts and environment (too many “e” words?).
