In Step Four we talked about refining your goals and seeking alignment with the overall targets of the school.  In Step Five, we get down to actionable definitions.

Here is the output of Step Four:

Tech Goal: We will purchase low end laptops for class use and embrace Chromebooks when applicable

Tech Objectives/Actions:

  • We will purchase and deploy 5 low end laptops for each class at 3 Middle schools by May 2016
  • We will replace aging Wireless AP’s with equipment funded by e-Rate for all sites by June 2016.
  • We will establish seamless wireless mobility between all areas of our campuses with BYOD security practices for 4 High schools by Sept. 2016

Replace the 3 Middle schools and 4 High schools with the real names of the ones you have selected.

Now you have specific plans with measurable quantities, defined locations and definitive due dates.  Well done.
